AC Milan have reached a full verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface in a deal worth €30 million. The structure includes a €5 million loan fee and a €25 million buy option clause, which is valid until the summer of 2026 but not mandatory.
Although the agreement has been confirmed, formal procedures are still required before completion. These include medical examinations and the signing of final paperwork, with Boniface’s representatives already in Italy to conclude negotiations. Milan remain confident of sealing the deal in time for their Serie A opener against Cremonese on Saturday.
The move will see Boniface link up with his fellow countryman and Super Eagles teammate, Samuel Chukwueze, who joined the Rossoneri last season. Their partnership at club level is expected to further strengthen their understanding on the international stage, offering a boost to Nigeria’s attacking depth ahead of upcoming national team commitments.
For Milan, the addition of Boniface represents a significant reinforcement to their forward line as they aim to challenge for domestic and European honors. For Nigeria, it marks a proud moment, with two of its brightest young stars set to feature side by side at one of Europe’s most iconic clubs.
