Center back for Warri Wolves FC, Ekene Olisema, has said that for his side, the primary target for the season is to fight to maintain their place in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
Warri Wolves gained promotion last season after winning the NPFL playoffs, marking an end to a four-year absence from the top-flight league in the country.
Speaking with Warri Wolves Fan TV, Ekene Olisema noted that they have put in the work and want to fight to remain in the league this season
Warri Wolves is a well recognized team in Nigeria and has missed out from the top flight football for some time now and are finally back where they belong. So much works has been put in, we training hard and everyone is well prepared for the task ahead, but our major aim is to maintain our stay in the league and by help of God every other thing will fall into place
Warri Wolves will kick off their NPFL campaign away to Katsina in their match day one encounter before returning to Delta to take on Rangers International of Enugu.
