Reigning champions Remo Stars displayed resilience and quality as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over newly promoted Kun Khalifat FC at the Elephant Park, Aba, on Monday evening.
Both teams had opened their 2025 2026 NPFL campaign with draws on Matchday 1 and went into their respective second encounter of the season determined to register their first win of the season.

The lively Aba crowd did not wait long to celebrate. In the 15th minute, striker Henry Ezeonye kept his composure from the penalty spot to score Kun Khalifat’s first-ever goal in the NPFL.
