After a shambolic performance in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 matchup with Bodoe/Glimt, Bruno Onyemaechi’s Olympiacos have it all to do in front of their home fans as they look to overturn a 3-0 first leg deficit.
Olympiacos came into the first leg buoyed by an impressive run of results but were pegged back in the 13th minute by a Tzolakis own goal before it became the Hogh show. Hogh added two more goals for Bodoe/Glimt to give Olympiacos a mountain to climb in the return leg.
Bruno’s side will be hoping everything goes in their favour tonight as they need 3 goals to draw the tie and hope for extra time and a possible penalty shoot-out.
Bruno moved to the Greek side in January and has played just three times in the Greek Super league since his move, earning one assist to his name. Bruno is due in Kigali, Rwanda, for the all important World Cup qualifier series with the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Rwanda in Kigali on the 21st of March, 2025, and face Zimbabwe in Uyo on the 25th of March 2025.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria currently sit second from bottom with 3 points, ahead of only Zimbabwe in the group while Rwanda is currently at the summit with 7 points. Eric Chelle will be hoping to start life in the dug-out with two positive results as he is condemned to win both games.
