The visitors struck first through Christos Tzolis in the 38th minute, but Atalanta fought back strongly after the break. Lazar Samardžić pulled them level with a well-taken penalty, before Mario Pašalić sealed the comeback with an 87th-minute strike that sent the home crowd into celebration.

Ademola Lookman was lively before being substituted in the second half, and his inclusion highlights his growing importance in Ivan Juric side. With Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, this run of high-level games provides him with valuable match sharpness.
Club Brugge, on the other hand, were without Super Eagle’s midfielder Raphael Onyedika, who missed the match after suffering a hamstring injury. Medical tests have confirmed that the 23-year-old will be sidelined for at least six weeks, ruling him out of crucial fixtures both for his club and the Super Eagles. His absence is a big blow as Brugge look to keep their Champions League campaign alive.
With Lookman pushing for form at the right moment and Onyedika set for a spell on the sidelines, it will aid Lookman’s availability for the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifiers in the coming weeks.
