Aston Villa came from behind to beat Fulham 3-1 at Villa Park, with goals from Ollie Watkins, John McGinn, and Emiliano Buendía sealing the home side’s victory.

Samuel Chukwueze

The match also marked the Premier League debut of Super Eagle’s Samuel Chukwueze, who was introduced in the 80th minute. The winger entered with Fulham trailing 3-1, but found it difficult to influence the game.

Chukwueze, known for his pace and trickery struggled to get into rhythm as Villa controlled the closing stages. His brief appearance did little to alter Fulham’s fortunes, with the Cottagers falling to their second league defeat of the season.

Alex Iwobi

Alex Iwobi started the game for Fulham but was substituted in the 65th minute after struggling to make his mark. Unlike his excellent performance in their previous outing, the midfielder had little impact against Villa, finding it difficult to influence play in a match where Fulham were largely second best.

Calvin Bassey

Bassey started in defense and endured a testing afternoon. The centre-back was shown a yellow card early in the second half and had several nervy moments dealing with Villa’s attacking threats, particularly the movement of Ollie Watkins.

With Nigeria preparing for a must-win World Cup qualifier, the performances of these three Super Eagles stars will be closely watched. Their form and sharpness will be vital as the national team looks to secure a crucial result.
