The Nigeria Basketball Federation has officially released the final 12-woman roster for D’Tigress ahead of the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket, scheduled to hold at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, from July 26 to August 3.
Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team will head into the tournament with history on the line, as they aim to become the first team, male or female, to win five consecutive Afrobasket titles. Head coach Rena Wakama has assembled a balanced team blending experience with youthful talent. The roster features seasoned stars such as Ezinne Kalu, Promise Amukamara, Elizabeth Balogun, Amy Okonkwo, Nicole Enabosi, Pallas Kunayi-Akpanah, and Victoria Macaulay.

Following the team’s intense training camp in Abuja, four players, Abiodun Yusuf, Solape Amusan, Abiodun Damilare, and Olawuyi Adenike, did not make the final cut.
D’Tigress have been placed in Group D alongside Rwanda and Mozambique. They will tip off their title defense against Rwanda on July 26, as they begin their quest for a record-extending fifth straight championship.
