Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have advanced to the final round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after a commanding 4-0 victory over Rwanda at the Lekan Salami Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday.

Having secured a slim 1-0 first-leg win in Kigali, the Falconets returned home with intent and delivered a ruthless performance to seal a 5-0 aggregate triumph.

The hosts wasted no time asserting dominance, with early first-half goals from Previous and Fatimoh putting the tie firmly in Nigeria’s control.

In the second half, Janet extended the lead before Afolabi added the fourth, completing a dominant display that left Rwanda with no response.

With the emphatic victory, Nigeria continues its march toward yet another FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup appearance, maintaining its reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent performers at youth level.
