
Captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa, has thrown his weight behind the team selected to do battle in the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, urging the them to give their all and ensure victory for the nation.
Musa was a part of the provisional list of 39 initially released by Head Coach Eric Chelle Sekou but did not make the cut of 23 released today by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
Nigeria with three (3) points from four games in this World Cup Qualifier series is condemned to win all their remaining games in this, starting with an away fixture against group leaders Rwanda in Kigali, who top the group with seven points from four games..
In a chat with Victor Modo, Musa said that the team is one and all players selected to do battle for the Super Eagles are condemned to give their all for the badge.
“The team is one and any player called upon to do battle for the Super Eagles must give his all. I am totally in support of the team and I will be cheering the team to victory in these World Cup qualifier matches”.

Ahmed Musa, who has been captain of the Super Eagles since 2019 when Mikel Obi retired from the national team has 110 caps for the team and has 18 goals and 16 assists.

Nigeria will play the first game of this window in Kigali on March 21, 2025, and will then return home to face Zimbabwe in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
