
Ikorodu City football club fired six goals past a hapless Katsina United in their matchday 31 rescheduled fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos today.
The home side started the rout in the 13th minute through E.Solomon before star of the season, Shola Adelani grabbed the second goal for his side in the 36th minute.
Things went from bad to worse very fast in the second half for Katsina United, with super substitute Cole grabbing a second half hattrick in the 55th, 71st, and 87th minute, with Dada helping himself to a goal in the 85th minute to condemn the Changi boys to the heaviest defeat suffered by an NPFL side this season.

The win takes Ikorodu up to 49 points from 32 games, one point behind third-placed Abia Warriors who occupy the last continental qualifying spot on the table.
With six games to go, Ikorodu City will be hoping to finish strong and secure one of the continental slots, a far cry from their modest start of the season ambitions of just retaining their place in the top-flight league in Nigerian football.
