‘It will be tough, very tough’: Emmanuel Amuneke speaks on Super Eagles World Cup qualifier

Former Nigeria U-17 coach and current Head Coach of Heartland Fc of Owerri, Emmanuel Amuneke, believes that the World Cup qualifier series will be a tough one for the Super Eagles but victory is possible.

Speaking exclusively with Victor Modo and Ekerete Kelvin, Amuneke pointed out that he wishes the team the best and hopes that they can get all 3 points against Rwanda in Kigali.

Amuneke’s words

“I hope we make it, I really hope we make it, I wish them the very best of luck and I hope their [sic] upcoming games they will be able to win their games but also we must be realistic, it is a very difficult task, [sic] very very difficult task but everything is possible in football. I wish them the very best of luck and I hope they can start winning in Rwanda… It’s our country, it’s our football, we all contributed to making it what it is today and our dream is to see it continue to grow and give opportunity to the next generation to continue to excel”

Super Eagles 23 man team

Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, released his 23-man list to execute the World Cup qualifier series between Rwanda and Nigeria and Nigeria vs Rwanda. Eric handed bold call-ups to four first-timers and dropped a couple of experienced names, the most prominent being Frank Onyeka considering his sterling performance at the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
