Kwara United Football Club has thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for fulfilling his ₦5 million cash reward pledge to the team for winning the President Federation Cup — the first-ever in the state’s history.
Club Chairman Kumbi Titiloye confirmed the receipt of the money, describing it as a morale booster ahead of the new season.
“On behalf of Kwara United, we express our heartfelt appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for redeeming the ₦5 million reward. This gesture is heartwarming, commendable, and highly motivating for the players,” Titiloye said.
The Harmony Boys are now intensifying preparations for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and the CAF Confederation Cup. Their campaign begins on Sunday, August 24, with a home clash against Ikorodu City at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
