Super Eagles star Terem Moffi scored a goal to put his side’s Ligue 1 tie beyond visiting Auxerre in their second game of the 2025/2026 season.
Nice started the game like a house on fire, going ahead in the 3rd minute through Boga.
Auxerre however, mustered a comeback, equalising in the 22nd minute through Sinayoko. Their joy was short-lived, as they conceded an own goal just two minutes later when Akpa put the ball into his own net.
With the game hanging in the balance, substitute Terem Moffi, who had only been on the pitch for four minutes, put the game to rest, scoring the third goal for his side and knocking the fight out of Auxerre.

Gabriel Osho started the encounter for visitors Auxerre but lasted for only 45 minutes as he was withdrawn at the break for De Percin.
