Victor Osimhen continued his red-hot form with a goal and an assist as Galatasaray powered past Konyaspor 5-1 to book their place in the Turkish Cup final.
The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 26th minute, rising highest to meet a pinpoint cross from his former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens and thundering a header beyond the goalkeeper. It was Osimhen’s 30th goal of the season—another clinical finish in a season that’s also seen him register six assists.
Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira doubled the Lions’ lead just before the break, putting Galatasaray firmly in control of the semi-final clash.

Osimhen then turned provider early in the second half, setting up Roland Sallai in the 47th minute for Galatasaray’s third. The Hungarian forward struck again minutes later to restore the three-goal cushion after Konyaspor briefly pulled one back.
The rout was completed by Austrian youngster Yusuf Demir, who came off the bench to replace Osimhen in the 73rd minute and slotted home the fifth goal to cap off a commanding performance from the reigning Turkish champions.
Galatasaray reached the final after navigating a tough route that included a 2-1 away victory over rivals Fenerbahçe in the quarterfinals. They had earlier finished second in Group C behind Konyaspor, having picked up five points from three matches.
Konyaspor’s journey to the semis included dominant wins in the early rounds and a group-topping run, but they were ultimately no match for a Galatasaray side firing on all cylinders—with Osimhen at the heart of it all.
