Chairman of Warri Wolves Football Club, Neville Ambakederemo, has applauded Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for donating two brand-new buses to the club, describing the gesture as timely and inspiring.

In a statement released on Thursday, Ambakederemo thanked the Governor for his swift intervention in resolving the club’s recent transportation challenges and reaffirmed the players’ commitment to repay the goodwill with stronger performances on the pitch.

“I wish to sincerely express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for the generous donation of brand-new buses to our team. This thoughtful gesture is not only a demonstration of the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the development of sports in our state but also a strong motivation to the entire Warri Wolves family as it proves that the club and the players are very dear to the Governor’s heart as he heard our cry through the Chairman of the Sports Commission, Onoriode Joshua Oborevwori,” the statement read.

The Wolves chairman also pledged to rally the squad and backroom staff to deliver consistent results in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and to make the state proud both on and off the pitch.

The presentation of the buses took place on Independence Day in Asaba, where Governor Oborevwori reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sports development in Delta State. He announced the procurement of new vehicles for both Warri Wolves and Delta Queens, two of the state’s flagship football clubs competing in the NPFL and Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
