The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will take on Venezuela and Colombia in international friendly matches in the United States during the November 2025 FIFA window.
According to NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachón of Eurodata Sport, the three-time African champions will open their tour against Venezuela on Friday, 14 November 2025 at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off set for 8pm local time.
Four days later, on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, the Eagles will clash with Colombia’s Los Cafeteros at Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, kicking off at 8pm Eastern Time (1am Wednesday, 19 November in Nigeria).
The friendlies mark Nigeria’s return to the USA for the first time since summer 2022, when the Eagles lost 2-1 to Mexico at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, with Cyriel Dessers scoring. They also suffered a narrow defeat to Ecuador in New Jersey during that same tour.
The November matches are expected to provide vital preparation for the Eagles as they continue their build-up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after navigating the last two matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
