Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers has completed a transfer to Panathinaikos FC, bringing his two-year spell at Rangers Football Club to an end. The 30-year-old striker leaves Glasgow after cementing his name as one of Rangers’ top scorers in recent seasons.

Emotional Farewell to Rangers Fans

Dessers penned a heartfelt farewell message to Rangers supporters after sealing the move:

It was an absolute honour to wear the No. 9 shirt at Rangers, something that will fill me with pride for the rest of my life. I wish everybody at Rangers all the best, take good care of the club, you guys are so important. I want to thank the fans that supported me. If you can push and support the players, big things will be within reach for this beautiful club, He wrote.

Cyriel Dessers’ transfer from Rangers to Panathinaikos closes one successful chapter and opens another, with 52 goals in 116 appearances at Ibrox, his contributions will not be forgotten.

Now, the striker turns his attention to both helping Panathinaikos fight for glory and leading the Super Eagles in World Cup qualification.
